Postdoctoral Fellow

Debanjan Sarkar

Debanjan Sarkar is a TSI Post-doctoral Fellow at the Trottier Space Institute and Department of Physics at McGill University. Prior to his current role, he was a Post-doctoral Researcher at the Ben-Gurion University, supported by the Azrieli Foundation. He earned his Ph. D. from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur in India. His research focuses on bridging theoretical and observational astrophysics. He has developed pipelines to simulate and analyze the intensity mapping signals across different cosmic epochs. Additionally, he works on estimating higher-order statistics from galaxy survey data. His interests also encompass the development of machine-learning techniques to emulate and extract valuable information from line intensity mapping data.
