Salma is pursuing an M.Sc. in Physics at the Université de Montréal under the joint supervision of Laurence Perreault-Levasseur and René Doyon. Her project focuses on the application of machine learning methods to existing James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) data reduction pipelines in order to better characterize the correlated noise in exoplanet transit spectra. Salma received her B.Sc. in Honours Astrophysics from the University of Calgary in 2023.
